Love Out Loud
“I want to tell people about the meaning of the cross. Not the cross that hangs on the wall or around someone’s neck, but the real cross of Christ . . . With all my heart I want to leave you with the truth, that he loves you, and is willing to forgive you of all your sins.” – Billy Graham
There is nothing more important in this life that we can do for other people than to tell them about the Good News of Jesus Christ. Telling others about what Jesus has done for is is commanded by Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20. In 2 Corinthians 5:19-20 God tells us that he has committed to us the message of reconciliation, and that we are ambassadors for Christ in this world, imploring others to be reconciled to God through the work of Jesus Christ.
Many of us who love Jesus find great joy and pleasure in loving and blessing other people in tangible ways, as God has commanded us to do. But when it comes to explaining the life, death and resurrection of Jesus and inviting others to trust in him for their salvation, many of us aren’t sure how to do it.
We might fear rejection.
Maybe our friends and relatives will think that we’re crazy.
Perhaps you feel like you don’t know enough to tell somebody else what it means to follow Jesus.
Or maybe you want to, but you’re just not sure where to start.
